To Monmouth Federal Credit Union, a supporter of community suppers,
The destruction from Hurricane Harvey as well Hurricane Irma are bringing the need for relief efforts to the very forefront. Neighbors helping Neighbors (community suppers) and the United Church of Monmouth have joined forces and are co-sponsoring a project to help provide hurricane relief to recent victims. It’s hoped that Monmouth organizations will support this effort.
Starting this week, you’ll notice that collection containers for donations to the hurricane relief effort have been placed in local businesses and eateries. They will be in place until September 29th. Please share in and help spread the word about this donation effort. Checks are also gratefully accepted. They can be made out to the United Church of Monmouth and sent directly to the church at PO Box 217, Monmouth, ME 04259.
Collected funds will be sent to the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR). 100% of the funds will go to the designated cause, recent hurricane relief.
Hurricane victims, Neighbors Helping Neighbors and United Church of Monmouth are grateful for your participation. Further Information may be found by calling 933-2931.
With a very sincere thank you,
Neighbors Helping Neighbors
